Multimedia live literature production bringing together the award-winning team of poet Maggie Sawkins and director Mark C. Hewitt to explore the theme of boxing, and in particular, female boxing, with audio/visual interventions by digital artist / filmmaker Matt Parsons. Flyweight is a poetic exploration of boxing sibling rivalry and what it means to be human. With a particular focus on female boxing and wonderful video contributions from young boxers at the Heart of Portsmouth Boxing Academy, Flyweight is an entertaining and witty production that was received with great audience acclaim on its preview tour to Portsmouth, Chichester Fringe, Brighton and Ventnor Fringe on the Isle of Wight.
